Research projects
The FNCA has a wide experience on national and international research projects on water issues. These projects have focused on topics such as climatic change, water scarcity, water footprint, participatory management in water issues, river ecology, WFD implementation, urban water services, environmental assessment of aquatic ecosystems and socio-economic assessments of water options, among others. The Research lines includes a broad range of water issues characterized by the need of applying an integrated and transdisciplinary approach to address such issues.
The inter-disciplinary FNCA research team allows the application of holistic perspectives, integrating water experts from biophysical sciences, social sciences and engineering.
