Violeta Cabello

Violeta Cabello. PhD in Geography, ICTA-Autonomous University of Barcelona. She is interested in socio-ecological modeling of river basins and water use sustainability analysis with the Multi-Scale Integrated Analysis of Societal and Ecosystems Metabolism (MuSIASEM) approach. She is an Environmental Scientist, Msc. Applied Ecology (Halmstad University, Sweden) and Msc. Integrated Watershed Management (University of Granada, Spain). Her former research was oriented to water quality modeling and wastewater reclamation. She has worked as international FP7 project manager in Biozul S.L. and is now part of an interdisciplinary team of researchers on water management at the University of Arizona within SWAN-Sustainable Water Action - project. She is a member of the Spanish Ecological Economics Association. She is interested in open data and ICts use for collaborative information generation and participatory water management.
