DiegoGJalónDiego García de Jalón Lastra. Full Professor in the Department of Natural Systems and Resources, at Forestry School of Engineering, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. He is expert in applied River Ecology and has a wide teaching and research experience in this field, particulary on river restoration. His research activity includes the supervision of more than 40 projects and studies. He has participated in 45 national and international research projects on ecological potential in regulated rivers, improved fish index (EFI+), hydro-morphological degradation (FORECASTER), environmental certification for hidropower production (CH2OICE) and on river restoration (REFORM), among others. He has supervised seventeen PhD, five of them on river restoration. He has a high number of research works and scientific publications, including those in journals as Regulated River: Research and Management, Environmental Monitoring and Assessment, J. Hydrology and J. River Basin Management, among others.
