Foto A SerenoAmparo Sereno. Born in Mata de Alcántara (Cáceres), on January 28, 1972, since 2010 she has dual nationality (Spanish and Portuguese). She graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Extremadura and, as an Erasmus student, she completed her doctorate at the Faculty of Law of the Portuguese Catholic University of Lisbon where she presented her thesis on international waters, whose case study was the Spanish-Portuguese basins.  Currently she is a professor at the Higher Institute of Accounting and Administration of Lisbon (ISCAL) and a researcher at the Observatory of Foreign Relations (OBSERVARE) of the Autonomous University of Lisbon. In addition to her academic and teaching activities, she was an advisor to the Secretary of State for the Environment (Portugal) and a lawyer at the Holding Aguas de Portugal (AdP)
