She is a researcher at the Hydrogeology and Environment Group at the UPV/EHU. She has developed her research activity mostly in the field of surface hydrology in catchments at different scales in the Basque Country, including suspended sediments dynamics and associated pollutants. She has taken part in research projects related to climate change focusing on trend analysis of observed data and hydrological modelling of future climatic and land use scenarios at catchment scale. The river-aquifer interaction in alluvial systems is one of its present research topics. Her research production has been published in international journals as Hydrology and Earth System Sciences, Journal of Environmental Quality, Land Use Policy, Geomorphology or Catena.
